Italy Tour: Da Vinci

Enjoy a vaporetto crossing in Venice, bask in the beauty of the world-renowned spa town Montecatini, be inspired by Michelanglo Square in Florence, and, of course, revel in the monumental wonders of ancient Rome. Beautiful landscapes. Amazing architecture. This coach tour is worthy of the name Da Vinci, the great artist after whom it was named!

For those who are intererested, it is possible to extend the stay in Rome or on the Amalfi Coast.

Day 1: Montreal to Venice
Direct flight to Venice.

Day 2: Venice (Mogliano Veneto)
Arrive in Venice. Meet your guide, transfer to your hotel and enjoy time at leisure for the rest of the day. In the evening, join your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner.

Day 3: Venice (Mogliano Veneto)
After breakfast, travel by vaporetto (waterbus) to St. Mark’s Square, where your local guide will begin your walking tour of the city. Visit the Doge’s Palace (exterior), Bridge of Sighs (exterior) and St. Mark’s Basilica (exterior). Enjoy an afternoon of shopping at your leisure or take part in an optional excursion ($) to the islands of Murano and Burano.

Day 4: Venice (Mogliano Veneto) – Montecatini Terme (285 km)
Depart for Montecatini Terme in the morning. On arrival, enjoy some free time to experience this world-renowned spa town.

Day 5: Montecatini Terme – Florence – Montecatini Terme (102 km)
Depart for Florence in the morning. On arrival, take memorable photographs during a stop at Michelangelo Square. Then enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Florence and visit the Cathedral (exterior), Giotto’s Bell Tower (exterior), the Baptistery doors, the Piazza della Signoria. Enjoy some free time before returning to Montecatini Terme.

Day 6: Montecatini Terme – Assisi – Rome (390 km)
Depart for Assisi and explore this fascinating medieval town at your leisure. In the afternoon, travel to Rome, the Eternal City, where you will spend the next 3 nights.

Day 7: Rome
After breakfast, watch 2,000 years of history unfold before your eyes during a guided sightseeing tour that includes the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Fountain of the Four Rivers (Piazza Navona) and St. Peter’s Basilica (exterior). The rest of the day is at leisure. In the evening, join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8: Rome
Spend a day discovering more of the Italian capital at your leisure.

7 nights stay in Agropoli

On the morning of day 9, after your breakfast, transfer by coach to Agropoli and Hotel La Darsena. Check-in for your stay of 7 nights (3 meals a day, water and wine included in the dinners and suppers). On day 16, the transfer to Rome airport is included in preparation for your return flight.
