Itinerary

A slow food market in a luxury hotel…

While London is still sleeping on Sunday morning, a market opens in the magnificent interior courtyard of the very beautiful, 5-star Rosewood London hotel, known for its flawless service and restaurant.

It’s the Slow Food & Living Market, a market that respects nature. It welcomes Londoners and hotel guests between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

In a festive atmosphere, we find on the stalls English products such as organic fruits and vegetables, cheeses, breads and brioches, fresh meats and cooked meats, edible flowers, and more. We even find organic wines from around the world!

Speaking of products that make us salivate, the Rosewood London hotel offers, every Sunday, an extraordinary Slow Brunch in its restaurant, Mirror Room. From the buffet to the plate, customers are delighted! We find: a station of smoked fish (salmon, mackerel); a station of cooked meats (including the famous sliced ham); one with a choice of pastries and rolls (more than 12 choices); another one with salads; a complete cheese counter (including the aged cheddars and blue cheeses of Bath which are excellent paired with chutney); a buffet dedicated to eggs (chicken, quail, duck, cooked in all different ways); choice of grilled vegetables, etc. We don’t know where to stick our fork because the choice is so large!
Then, when you have finished making the tour of these stations, comes the moment for choosing the main dish: fish or meat.

Then, finally, the dessert table. We are surprised that it doesn’t collapse under the weight of the cakes, pies, pastries, verrines, and meringues, not forgetting the chocolate fountain with fresh strawberries and marshmallows.

Rosewood London is an elegant hotel with 262 luxury rooms and 44 suites. It is located in the centre of London, in the Temple district, and is a short walk from Covent Garden and close to the London Eye, British Museum, and National Gallery.
